OUGD504 - Design for Print - Final Critique


In this final critique for the Bond Street Brand Directory publication, the final book was shown, inspected and discussed within a small group.

Feedback regarding the publication follows:

  • The publication is well crafted.
  • The book appears immediately luxury.
  • Layout within the book is clear, clean and well structured
  • The black and gold colour scheme is distinctive and bold.
  • The publication should be available is high-end hotel suites.
  • There should be another gold sheet at the back.
  • The size/scale/length of the book appears grand and extravagant.
  • Images within the book are professional. 
  • Store information cards at the back of the publication are innovative.
  • The book is bound well.
  • Foiling result achieved is to a high standard.
  • Gilded edges are subtle and easy to overlook.
  • The book doesn't lay open very well.
  • Concept of the book is unique - not seen before.
  • Leather embossed paper stock adds more luxury.
  • Design decisions seem informed. 
  • The book is a slightly awkward size when open but relevance is understood. 
The above feedback will be taken into consideration when the final evaluation is undertaken.
